Hot spot, Deadstock Coffee, merges the concept of a coffee shop with the aspects of community to talk about sneakers, hip-hop, and basketball. Deadstock has been in the business of providing cultural buzz since two years ago when Ian Williams opened shop, getting his inspo from his experience in retail and design at Nike. On January 26, 2018, Migos dropped the long-awaited follow up to their debut album, Culture II. In the Portland spirit of keeping this weird, our college rep John Jigitz teamed up with Deadstock Coffee to throw a “Do It For The Culture II” Culture II Listening Party + Latte Art Throwdown.
The concept of a Latte Art Throwdown is a tournament style coffee competition where a panel of local coffee shop owners watch two baristas showcase their latte art skills and crown a winner. Our rep John captured the event on film and handed out Migos swag to the participants and crowd. Check out the action for yourself below!
